Khizanishvili's recent form has earned him plaudits |
Dundee's Georgian international defender Zurab Khizanishvili says he is on the verge of a move to Rangers.
The young defender says his agent has brokered a move to Ibrox, which will be completed in the summer.
An un-named English Premiership club are also said to be interested in the 21-year-old's signature, but Khizanishvili insists Rangers are his first choice.
"My agent Atoll Still called me yesterday (Wednesday)," he said.
"He told me that he will try to arrange my transfer to Rangers. It is finally decided that I am leaving Dundee after the season.
"I have three choices. Several days ago my manager told me that one of the clubs in the English Premier League is interested in me.
"But of course I would prefer to play for Rangers, it's a big club with big ambitions."
Khizanishvili was rumoured to be attracting interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham last year during his time at Lokomotiv Tbilisi before Dundee eventually signed him for 100,000.
His contract expires at the end of the season.
Dundee still have to play Rangers twice this season - once in the league and also in the Scottish Cup final.
