Kizanishvili has been at Ewood Park on loan this season |
Georgian international defender Zurab Khizanishvili has signed for Blackburn on a permanent deal from Rangers. The 24-year-old has been at Ewood Park on loan this season and has now signed for an undisclosed fee and agreed a three-year contract.
"Everything is finished, I'm a Rovers player. I'm really happy to stay here," Khizanishvili told Rovers' website.
"It was a dream come true to play in the Premier League and to be part of a top-six club."
Khizanishvili's future at Ibrox has been in doubt since he fell out of favour with Gers boss Alex McLeish.
He added: "It is a very friendly club and I was happy to sign, I'm looking forward to being here for a few years.
"To come on loan and have such a great season is wonderful, the team has done really well and we are still fighting for the Champions League or Uefa Cup.
"When I came here everyone thought we would be battling against relegation, but we are up there as a top-six club."
