Port Vale manager Micky Adams enjoying added confidence
Micky Adams has lost just five of his 24 league matches in charge of Port Vale
Port Vale boss Micky Adams believes their recent run of results is breeding confidence within the squad.
Adams' side are unbeaten in 2010 and have taken seven points from their last three outings in League Two.
"We like to think that we're improving. You only have to see our recent results to say that," he told BBC Radio Stoke.
"I can see that in the team and individually. We look a lot more confident, and to do anything you have to be confident in your own abilities."
Vale failed to break down a stubborn Macclesfield side at Vale Park on Saturday, eventually having to settle for their fourth goalless draw of the season.
"Teams generally have been coming here and attacking us," he said.
"Macclesfield have obviously done their homework and seen the improvement in us. I take that as a great compliment."
Adams handed a debut to on-loan Brighton striker Craig Davies against the Silkmen, and the Vale manager was impressed with the Wales international.
"Craig had two or three shots that, on another day, might have crept in," he said. "He hit the bar as well in the second half, so I think there's better things to come from him."
Vale visit League Two leaders Rochdale on Tuesday, hoping to close a seven-point gap to the play-off places.
