Port Vale manager Micky Adams says he is pleased with his attacking options after his side's 3-1 win over Burton Albion on Tuesday.

Adams currently has Lewis Haldane and Sean Rigg on loan from Bristol Rovers along with Craig Davies from Brighton.

Adams told BBC Radio Stoke: "We've got some real pace upfront now, and pace forces teams backwards. We've still got Rob Taylor to comeback."

Vale's win over Burton was their first league win at home since September.

Adams added: "We needed a home win, our home form has driven us mad.

"There are things that we need to improve on but it was an honest performance from the players. We've won our last two games now and we're on a roll."

The Vale manager praised the performance of his striker force after he opted to play Rigg and top scorer Marc Richards up front for the second consecutive game.

"Rigg used his pace well and cut the ball back for Marc Richards, it was a good goal.

"We have plenty of attacking options and that is what we need."
