Clist joined Oxford from Forest Green for a nominal fee last month

Oxford midfielder Simon Clist says he is disappointed that he cannot be included in the squad to face former side Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.

The 27-year-old has a gentleman's agreement that he would not line up against the Gloucestershire side this season after a deadline day move.

"It would have been nice to play, but that was part of the deal," Clist told BBC Oxford.

"I'm disappointed but hopefully the lads get the right result for us."

Clist opened his goalscoring account for the U's in the 3-0 win over Eastbourne Borough on Tuesday.
