Oxfords Damian Batt was ordered off against his former side

A James Constable penalty earned a point for 10-man Oxford against promotion rivals Stevenage.

The game started disastrously for Oxford when defender Damian Batt was show a red card after just 23 minutes for a poor challenge on Mitchell Cole.

David Bridges put the hosts in front when he found Steve Morison's cross and fired a right-footed shot home.

But Constable powered a penalty beyond Stevenage goalkeeper Chris Day to level after Cole had fouled Adam Chapman.
