Batt signs new Oxford United deal

Damian Batt
Batt has played in 10 games for the U's, with Oxford winning eight of them

Oxford right-back Damian Batt has signed a new two-year contract with the Blue Square Premier promotion chasers.

The 24-year-old former Barnet and Stevenage defender has impressed since moving the Kassam Stadium in January and United have moved into seventh.

Batt said: "The players, fans and coaches have been fantastic here and I am delighted to have signed."

It is believed Oxford are making new offers to at least two other players currently on short-term contracts.

Batt, who was at Grays earlier on this season, has experienced victory in eight out of his 10 games for the U's.
