Kidderminster Harriers sign Lee Morris & Mike Williams
Morris was once the subject of a 3m transfer deal
Kidderminster Harriers have completed the signing of former Hereford United striker Lee Morris and ex-Wrexham defender Mike Williams.
Manager Steve Burr has brought in the pair on one-year contracts and feels both will have important roles to play.
"Lee has gone for some big money in his career and he will bring goals and experience to the side," said Burr.
"Although Mike is still at a young age he is a relatively old head and will be a very valuable addition to the squad."
Thirty-year-old Morris began his career at Sheffield United before Derby County signed him for £3m in 1999.
He was a regular during his five years with the Rams before moving on to Leicester City for £130,000 in 2004.
After spells with Yeovil Town and Burton Albion, Morris joined Hereford last season but injuries blighted his time at Edgar Street although Burr is not unduly concerned by this.
"Lee has had one or two injury problems in common with most players around his age," he told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"It might not have worked out for him at Hereford last season but it goes without saying that he is someone who knows where the net is.
There aren't many players who have played as many games at this stage of his career as he has

"Hopefully this will prove a fresh start for him," he added.
Williams, 23, had spent his career so far at Wrexham, turning professional with them five years ago after initially joining them as a trainee.
He made more than 100 appearances for the Dragons, including more than 30 last season.
The former Wales Under-21 international has spent the summer at Aggborough and has featured heavily in Harriers' pre-season friendlies.
"I have been really impressed with what I have seen from Mike," said Burr.
"There aren't many players who have played as many games at this stage of his career as he has in both the Football League and in the Conference."
Meanwhile young midfielder Nathan Hayward has left Aggborough after turning down the offer of a new deal.
"We offered Nathan new terms and he has been a part of things for us so far this summer but ultimately he is looking for a bit more money," said Burr.
"Unfortunately that is not something we feel we can give him at this stage.
"I'm not too sure he will push on from what we saw of him here last season and I think we can perhaps use the resources we have now on one of the other young lads who is coming through."
