Bignot left Harriers for Crewe for 100,000 in 1997
Kidderminster defender Marcus Bignot says he is happy coming off the bench as it means the team are doing well.
Bignot, 35, rejoined the Harriers last month on non-contract terms until the end of the season and has made two substitute appearances so far.
He told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "Long may that be. It might sound strange but if I am coming of the bench in means the boys are doing well."
Harriers have not lost in eight games under manager Steve Burr.
And Bignot feels they can reach the play-offs, saying: "You always find whatever league it is there is a team that makes the late run, and we are probably one of those teams who can make a late push.
Let's be realistic between now and the end of the season we will suffer defeat
Kidderminster Harriers defender Marcus Bignot
"All we can do is keep winning, and at the moment that is what we are doing.
"I am sure the ones in the play-off positions know what is at stake, but we have one eye on the [FA] Trophy as well.
"We will try and keep this run going and see where it takes us. We have not lost under the new gaffer, and it's how we react when and if we do lose that will matter.
"Hopefully it won't come, but let's be realistic between now and the end of the season we will suffer defeat."
