Kettering coach Tommy Jaszczun happy at Poppies return
Jaszczun played 68 times for the Poppies during his first spell at the club
Kettering Town assistant manager Tommy Jaszczun says he is delighted with his new role at the club.
The ex-Northampton Town defender joined the Poppies in 2007, and after a spell at Corby, has returned to Rockingham Road as a player-coach.
Jaszczun told BBC Radio Northampton: "I was surprised but honoured. [Manager] Lee Harper will do the hands-on stuff and I will work on the team spirit.
"As assistant, you can still have a good relationship with the players."
We want to put together a good, well organised side and see where it takes us

The 32-year-old, who will also provide cover at left-back for the Poppies, added: "If things go well - if we get a settled team and I don't need to play - then that's all well and good.
"But I'm doing pre-season training and hopefully getting some run-outs."
The role represents Jaszczun's first coaching post in professional football, while player-manager Lee Harper will be guiding the Poppies for his first full season in 2010/11.
"We're inexperienced but it's exciting for myself and Lee," Jaszczun said. "We want to put together a good, well organised side and see where it takes us."
