Midfielder Chris Shepherd gave the home side the lead in the first half, lashing home a shot from 18 yards.
Matt Tubbs then made sure of the points, firing in a shot from outside the box with just minutes to spare.
The Poppies were disappointing throughout, posing little threat against a resolute Whites defence.
