Neil Andrews and Jamie Barker have been with Histon throughout the club's rise up the non-league pyramid
Histon boss Steve Fallon has heaped praise on long-serving stars Neil Andrews and Jamie Barker following their joint testimonial on Sunday.
The duo have spent over a decade at the Glass World stadium.
Fallon told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "They've been the backbone of the club over the past 10 years, they've been fantastic servants on or off the pitch.
"We're pleased to have them here and hopefully they'll be here for a few more years yet."
Both players have been with the club throughout their remarkable rise up the non-league pyramid and played a significant role in helping the Stutes to third in the Blue Square Premier this season.
For their testimonial, the pair were joined by many of their current and former team-mates from the past 10 seasons.
The likes of Ian Cambridge, Neil Kennedy and Colin Vowden were all in attendance as the two sides - led by Andrews and Barker - battled their way to a 4-4 draw.
Fallon said he hopes to sign a few more players like Andrews and Barker in future.
Barker and Andrews both signed autographs for young fans
"They're just great to have around, it's been great to have them involved with the club for so long," he said.
"If we have a few more people like Neil and Jamie over the years to come I'm sure we'll continue to do well."
During their 10 years at the club, Andrews lists winning the Southern Premier in 2006 as his favourite achievement, while Barker puts captaining the side to the Conference South trophy in 2007 as his top moment.
As yet neither player has signed up for next season, but both look set to be offered new deals at the Glass World.
