Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson is confident new winger Tommy Rowe will have an immediate impact in the Championship next season.
Rowe, 20, arrived from Stockport for an undisclosed fee on Tuesday.
Ferguson told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "He's been on the radar for a while and will add a lot to the team.
"He's got a lot of potential, but there's plenty of ability already and he'll definitely make an impact on our first team."
Posh were able to take advantage of Stockport's perilous financial situation to bring Rowe to London Road.
And Ferguson believes the deal represents excellent value for money.
"He's worth a lot more than we got him for, we've got him at a decent price owing to their current situation," he said.

"Having said that, we've still spent a bit of money, but it's a good deal and he fits the profile of the young, hungry players we're after.
Rowe is primarily a left-winger and so looks set to compete with George Boyd for a place in the side.
However, Ferguson says both players will be important to his first-team plans.
"Tommy can play wide, in the central and at left back; I'm not one for giving someone a position and sticking to it," he explained.
"George Boyd can play up front and in the centre, so it's something we'll be looking at ahead of the new season."
