Rowe has scored seven times for Stockport this season
Peterborough United have signed Stockport County winger Tommy Rowe for an undisclosed fee.
The 20-year-old, who scored in County's 1-0 win over Posh in April 2008, joins on a three-year deal.
United boss Darren Ferguson told the club's official website: "Tommy is a player we've been looking at for quite some time.
"The chairman has again backed me to the hilt. Tommy can play in a number of positions and is a very good signing."
Meanwhile, Ferguson has transfer-listed 12 players following their promotion to the Championship.
Sergio Torres, Chris Westwood and Shane Blackett are among the highest-profile of the players listed, but have each been on the fringes of the first team.
The other players who have been told they are surplus to requirements by the club are Mark Tyler, Danny Blanchett, Craig Braham-Barrett, Kieran Charnock, Alfie Potter, Liam Hatch, Scott Rendell, Rene Howe and Kwesi Appiah.
