Barker happy with attack options

Histon winger Jamie Barker said the Stutes have been working on a number of different combinations in both attack and midfield over the past week.

Steve Fallon's side have drawn a blank in their past two matches.

Barker told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "We won't change the way we play, whoever ends up playing up front.

"But we have been looking at different people in different positions and we have plenty of options, very few of us are guaranteed a place."

Barker lost his spot in the Stutes starting line-up for the trip to Kettering but was back in the side at Barrow after boss Fallon admitted he may have picked the wrong side at Rockingham Road.

"I scored a couple of goals at Lewes the week before and played in the Cambridge game, so I did feel a little hard done by," Barker said.

"I prefer to play on the left wing but will do a job on the right so hopefully I'll hold onto my place."

Histon host Grays on Tuesday and Fallon knows that the match is another potential banana skin.

"Grays are struggling a bit, but they can put on a performance and steal points so it's down to us to open them up and play with confidence," he said.

Meanwhile striker Danny Wright is set for a shorter spell on the sidelines but Fallon is hopeful he will return in time for next week's home clash with Stevenage.

"Danny will be another week, we're hopeful he'll be fit for Stevenage but Antonio Murray and Jack Midson have the potential to be a very good front line for us," he said.
