Roache joined the Stutes from Cambridge City in January
Histon boss Steve Fallon believes striker Lee Roache is still some way from being ready to play a full 90 minutes.
Roache, 24, has been struggling with injuries for most of this season.
Fallon told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "He's not always sure in his own mind that he is totally fit, but he can get through this.
"He can be a big player for us, but at the moment that will only be for 20 or 30 minutes in a match."
Roache joined the Stutes for an undisclosed fee from Cambridge City in January.
The 24-year-old has impressed coming off the bench in recent matches, but struggled after replacing the injured Danny Wright early-on during Saturday's defeat at Kettering.
Wright will be out for between three-to-six weeks due to a hamstring problem.
Antonio Murray looks favourite to partner Jack Midson up front in Tuesday's game at Barrow, with Jamie Barker coming into the midfield.
If we can get ourselves a good start and keep playing well then the players won't feel tired at all

Fallon will be looking to rectify some of the tactical mistakes that were made against Kettering when the Stutes go to the A-Line Arena.
"We probably got one or two decisions wrong, the changes we made during the game didn't work for us," he said.
"We've got one or two options for Barrow, but the most important thing is that we bounce back."
Fallon felt his side looked sluggish on Saturday, but will not be using fatigue as an excuse against Barrow.
"As managers we often say the players looked tired if we don't get the result, but it's mentally as much as physically," he said.
"If we can get ourselves a good start and keep playing well then the players won't feel tired at all."
