Roache has recently recovered from a foot injury

Histon have signed striker Lee Roache from local rivals Cambridge City for a four-figure fee.

The former Barnet man had scored 21 goals in 55 starts for the Lilywhites since joining in the summer of 2006.

The capture of the 24-year-old brings to an end the Stutes' desperate search for a forward.

Roache joins Histon goalkeeper Danny Naisbitt and midfielder Josh Simpson in having made the move from Milton Road to the Glass World Stadium.
