Stevenage 2-1 Cambridge Utd

Ten-man Stevenage claimed a valuable win over play-off rivals Cambridge.

Boro got off to the perfect start when Lawrie Wilson played in Junior Mendes, who found the bottom corner of the net.

Robbie Wilmott headed Cambridge level from Chris Holroyd's cross but the home side went back in front when Lee Boylan slammed in from Scott Laird's pass.

Boro went down to 10 men when Mark Roberts was shown a second yellow card for fouling Wayne Hatswell but United could not make their extra man count.
