Hartlepool take Cork midfielder Joe Gamble on trial
Gamble has played for Cork City since 2004
League One side Hartlepool United have taken Cork City midfielder Joe Gamble on trial.
The 27-year-old caught the eye of Pools director of sport Chris Turner in the summer, and the club will now take a closer look at the former Reading man.
Turner said: "Joe was a player we saw when we watched Denis Behan and Colin Healy play for Cork a few months ago."
Gamble has played for the Republic of Ireland at under-21 and full international level.
