Skarz started at Huddersfield as a trainee

Hartlepool United have completed the signing of Huddersfield Town youngster Joe Skarz on loan.

The 19-year-old left-back joins the Victoria Park outfit until the end of the season after struggling to force his way into the Terriers line-up.

"Allowing Joe to leave is designed to get him some high standard football for his own development and so we can look at him," said Town manager Lee Clark.

"Joe is part of my long-term plans and we'll have him watched very closely."

Skarz has played 11 times for Huddersfield this season, but has been kept out of the side since November due to Robbie Williams' excellent form.

He joins Huddersfield team-mate Keigan Parker, who is already on loan at Hartlepool.
