Ebbsfleet United boss Liam Daish believes some of his FA Trophy-winning squad may have outstayed their welcome.
Following a third straight defeat at Kidderminster, Daish told BBC Radio Kent that some players would have left if they had not won at Wembley in May.
"Last season gave a few players an extended time at the club because I thought we should keep everyone together and hopefully build on that.
"But some players haven't really gone to the next level for me."
Daish added: "We can't afford to stagnate.
"I'm expected to get into play-offs this year and I need a group of players who can physically do it.
"I thought [37-year-old defender] Paul McCarthy was exceptional but he's the oldest player on the pitch."
BBC Radio Kent has commentary of Ebbsfleet's game against Torquay on Saturday, 18 October at 1500 BST on bbc.co.uk/kent
