BBC Tees understands that Darlington are interested in Hibernian striker Clayton Donaldson.

The 24-year-old, who moved from York City 12 months ago to join the SPL, could now be tempted back to the north east of England for the Quakers.

Donaldson scored six times in 21 appearances for Hibernian.

Bradford-born Clayton dismissed rumours about moving to Crewe in March after worries about not getting enough first team action with Hibernian.
