York boss Billy McEwan praised striker Clayton Donaldson after he bounced back to form with two goals in City's 3-1 win against Rushden and Diamonds. Donaldson had scored in only one game since agreeing a move to Hibernian in January but took his tally to 23 as York firmed up their play-off place.
McEwan told BBC Radio York: "I am pleased that Clayton got a goal.
"He's got to try and catch the Paul Benson now if he can and finish top scorer in the Conference if he can.
McEwan added: "That was his target at the start of the season."
