Clayton Donaldson took his goal tally for the season to 23 as his brace helped York to a win which moved them up to fourth in the Conference table. The visitors took the lead in the third minute with Simeon Jackson lashing in a volley from the edge of the box.
York came back strongly and got the equaliser they deserved on 41 minutes when Donaldson headed home.
Donaldson netted from six yards after the break, before Steve Bowey sealed the win with a thumping 18-yard strike.
