Worley becomes the fifth addition to the Crewe squad this summer

Crewe Alexandra have completed the signing of Leicester City defender Harry Worley on a six-month loan deal.

The 20-year-old has joined the Alex in time to be involved in their League Two match against Grimsby on Saturday.

He becomes the second Foxes player to move to the Alexandra Stadium in a week, following the loan signing of midfielder Aman Verma on Monday.

Worley, a former Chelsea trainee, did not play a single game in Leicester's League One title-winning campaign.

He spent two months playing in League Two on loan at Luton last season, making six league starts between September and November.

Crewe have lost their first two games of the season but chairman John Bowler stated on Thursday he hopes to win promotion back to League One.
