Former Blackpool midfielder Claus Jorgensen has signed a short-term contract at Port Vale after impressing during a trial period.
The Danish-born 33-year-old, who played international football for the Faroe Islands, was released by the Championship side in June.
He has previously had spells with Bournemouth and Bradford.
Jorgensen also spent time with Coventry City, where he played under current Vale manager Micky Adams.
