Mitchel-King joins former Histon team-mate Patrick Ada at Crewe
League Two club Crewe Alexandra have signed Histon midfielder Mat Mitchel-King on a two-year deal.
The out-of-contract 25-year-old is manager Gudjon Thordarson's second new addition to the squad, joining former Histon team-mate Patrick Ada.
Mitchel-King told BBC Radio Stoke: "I've worked my way up from the bottom and I've taken every chance I've ever had in football with both hands.
"I hope my positive progress can continue for me here at Crewe."
Speaking about his two summer recruits, Thordarson added: "They're hard-working and committed players, with a desire to play well.
"We have two good players who will strengthen us in departments where players have left."
Mitchel-King, who can operate in the centre of defence or in midfield, was captain of the Histon team that lost in the Blue Square Premier play-offs to Torquay, and also reached the third round of the FA Cup.
He has made 78 starts for Histon during their two seasons in the top-flight of non-league football.
