Hunt has made 55 appearances for Brentford

Blue Square Bet Premier side Crawley Town have signed Brentford midfielder David Hunt on a one-month loan deal with a view to a permanent transfer.

The 28-year-old former Shrewsbury and Northampton player has made five appearances for the Bees this season.

Reds manager Steve Evans said: "David has great ability, tremendous energy levels and is a real ball winner.

"I've admired him for some time. If both parties are happy to make it a permanent deal it can be done quickly."

He added: "I have tried to sign the player a few times in the past, so it will be good to work with him."

Hunt will be included in the Crawley squad for the visit of Eastbourne Borough on Saturday subject to clearance from the FA and the Football Conference.
