Chester City midfielder Tony Dinning and defender Paul Butler have each signed 12-month contract extensions.
Both players were left out of the final games of last season following a reported internal dispute.
Dinning, 33, and former skipper Butler, 35, have now returned to training following clear-the-air talks with City manager Simon Davies.
"The two players are willing to give their all for the club," confirmed Davies to BBC Radio Merseyside.
The City manager added: "Everybody in the squad is now knuckling down and preparing for the forthcoming season.
"Everybody has one common aim and that is to be successful for Chester City Football Club."
Meanwhile, City have made their fifth signing of the summer following the return of old boy Ryan Lowe on a two-year contract.
The 29-year-old Liverpool-born former Shrewsbury Town forward, who still had a year to run on his deal at Gresty Road, spent 18 months at City before leaving for Crewe in 2006.
