Chester recruit defender Butler
Paul Butler
Butler left Milton Keynes in March
Chester manager Bobby Williamson has signed veteran defender Paul Butler on a one-year deal.

The 34-year-old former Sunderland and Leeds centre-back spent last season at Milton Keynes.

He left the Dons by mutual consent in March 2007, Butler had been commuting to Milton Keynes from his home in Leeds since he joined the club in November.

The ex-Republic of Ireland player was released from his Leeds contract which enabled him to join Milton Keynes.
