Chester City have completed the protracted signing of Vauxhall Motors striker Paul Taylor.
The 22-year-old Liverpudlian joins the club on an initial loan deal, with a view to making the transfer permanent during the season.
Chester manager Simon Davies told BBC Radio Merseyside: "Paul is an exciting talent. It's up to him to impress.
"We have four new players coming into the club. That raises the selection bar for me."
The deal to bring the former Manchester City trainee to the Deva Stadium had previously stalled as both parties tried to agree on personal terms.
Taylor will now link up with fellow new signings Anthony Barry, Jay Harris and David Mannix for pre-season training.
It is understood that City boss Davies is looking to add a goalkeeper and a central defender to his squad before the start of next season.
City will now play Motors in a pre-season friendly at Rivacre Park on 19 July.
