Alsop has been used as a sub in five of Cheltenham's eight games this season
Cheltenham Town boss Martin Allen has extended veteran striker Julian Alsop's short-term deal until the end of 2009.
The 36-year-old joined the club for the second time from non-league Bishop's Cleeve in July on a non-contract basis, and was given another month in August.
"I don't have to keep going month to month," Allen told BBC Gloucestershire.
"He's staying here until Christmas and early new year and then we'll review it financially and review the position of what other players are available."
"He knows that, I know that - that's the situation with Julian and he's doing fine for us," Allen added.
