Cheltenham boss Martin Allen has drafted in veteran strikers Barry Hayles and Julian Alsop.
Hayles, 37, has signed a one-year contract at the League Two club after impressing the Robins manager in pre-season.
The former Leicester City forward had two loan spells with the Robins last season, scoring four goals.
Allen has also agreed non-contract terms with Alsop, part of Cheltenham's winning 2001-02 play-off team.
The 36-year-old finished last season with Zamaretto Division One South and West side Bishops Cleeve - four divisions below League Two - and turned out for the non-league club against the Robins in a pre-season friendly earlier this month.
Alsop played nearly 150 games in three seasons with the Whaddon Road outfit before heading to Oxford United on a free transfer in 2003.
