Hayles scored three goals from six starts in his first spell with Cheltenham
Cheltenham boss Martin Allen says he sees new loan signing Barry Hayles as part of his first-choice strike-force.
Hayles joined from Leicester on Friday and scored in Saturday's FA Cup tie at Morecambe, later abandoned due to fog.
"Barry was poor in the first half but he hasn't played much recently," Allen told BBC Radio Gloucestershire
"But from the way he tucked his goal in the corner, when Elvis Hammond is fit, it looks like we've got a pairing that can get us goals and get us buzzing."
Hayles, 36, has already had one loan spell at Whaddon Road this season, scoring three goals in seven League One games between August and October.
