Gloucestershire golfer Charlotte Ellis is among 300 players trying to qualify for the Women's British Open.

The first round of qualifying is at the Berkshire course on 13 July.

Ellis told BBC Gloucestershire: "I won pre-qualifying last year and then set my hopes too high for final qualifying and didn't do so well.

"We play the Astor Salver amateur event at the Berkshire course but this event is played off the back tees so it's a lot harder."
