Bristol Rovers defender Steve Elliott has told BBC Radio Bristol that he thinks former team-mate Junior Agogo was right to join Nottingham Forest.
"I think he needed that move really," said Elliott. "They're a big team, a big club and I think he's kicked on."
The 28-year-old striker's form saw him star for Ghana in the Africa Cup of Nations earlier on this season.
Elliott added: "He's always showed the capability that he could play higher. I'm really pleased for him."
Rovers head coach Paul Trollope agreed that Agogo is making the most of his talent since moving to the City Ground, saying: "He always showed the potential that he could play higher.
"He's one of the main men there now, [Forest manager] Colin Calderwood's a long-standing admirer of him and he took him there.
"With his run in the African Nations he's come to everyone's attention, and he is a threat."
