Anthony Charles not worried by Aldershot Town form

Aldershot Town captain Anthony Charles has played down the club's recent run in League Two.

The Shots have won only one of their last seven league games and sit three points above the relegation zone.

The 29-year-old told BBC Surrey: "Every team has their blips and at the moment we seem to be having one.

"We're not scoring enough goals. If we can we'll head in the right direction. I don't think it's a time to be worried - the league is still very tight."

He added: "Apart from maybe the top three, anybody can beat anybody."

The influential former Barnet defender has missed the past five games with a hamstring injury, but came through 65 minutes for the reserves on Thursday.

He is expected to make his comeback in the match against Lincoln City on Saturday, the first of six matches against bottom-half opponents.

"I'm as fit as I can be at the minute," he said. "I've had a week of training.

"Now we need to get as many points as we can and get some confidence. We've got to stay positive."
