Aldershot captain Anthony Charles hopes his side can repay the faith and investment of the home supporters.
The Shots defender admits the current financial climate has had an effect on home attendances.
"It's not cheap to come and watch a game of football," the 29-year old told BBC Surrey.
"It's £40 to watch a Premier League game and to watch us it's £20 so I think we need to do more to help the fans come and support us," he added.
The Shots have won just twice at the EBB Stadium in the league this season, and Charles concedes their home form may have had an effect on supporters.

"There seems to be more of an atmosphere when we go away, but we need to give the fans something to get going for us at home," said Charles.
"Over the years our home form has been superb, but this year it has been so-so," he added.
After a week where finances in football have dominated the headlines, Charles says he is grateful for all he has.
"It's a hard time for everybody, but for us boys playing we are in a very lucky position and a lot of us appreciate what we have," he said.
"Some maybe don't appreciate it, but in the years to come they'll realise the mistakes they've made the same way I did when I was young."
The Shots host Bury in League Two on Saturday 30 October, kick-off 3pm.
