McGlashan left Ashford Town (Middlesex) in the summer
Aldershot Town winger Jermaine McGlashan believes he is improving as a player after being handed a place in the starting line-up.
The 22-year-old has started the last three games for the Shots after making 10 substitute appearances this season.
He told BBC Surrey: "I think I'm maturing a lot as a player. I'm starting to slow down, think about the game and read it more.
"I've still got a lot to learn but the players around me are helping."
Aldershot manager Kevin Dillon handed McGlashan his first professional contract following a trial in the summer and the youngster says there is more to come from him.
"I did say I wanted to repay him. I don't feel I've fulfilled that yet," added McGlashan.
"I want to do more for the fans. I've still got a lot to do here to help make Aldershot successful."
