Aldershot keeper Jaimez Ruiz works to improve his game
Jaimez Ruiz has won one cap for the Venezuelan national team
Aldershot keeper Mikhael Jaimez Ruiz says work on his all-round game will help him regain his place in the team.
The Venezuelan was dropped by manager Kevin Dillon at the end of January in favour of loanee Stephen Henderson.
Jaimez Ruiz told BBC Surrey: "I'm not the first player to be dropped from the team. The thing is to focus on working harder and know how good I am."
Dillon has said he wants his keeper to develop his kicking game and his dominance in the box.
Jaimez Ruiz added: "This season I have been able to play a lot of games. I have been focused not only on playing a good amount of games but also improving my game.
"My confidence has certainly increased. Everything is always put into games. You can practise as much as you want and I would like to put it right."
The former Northwood player joined the Shots on a non-contract basis in April 2007 before signing a permanent deal that summer.
