Aldershot midfielder Scott Donnelly rejects new deal
Donnelly joined the club in November 2007.
Aldershot midfielder Scott Donnelly has revealed that he rejected a new contract offer from the club.
The 22-year-old was strongly linked with a move to League One side Wycombe Wanderers during the transfer window and could yet go there on loan.
Donnelly told BBC Surrey of the Shots offer: "It wasn't what I thought it would be but we'll see what happens in the next few weeks really.
"Now I'm looking forward to playing [Northampton] on Friday night."
Donnelly admitted he is in the dark about where a potential move to Wycombe, and a reunion with former boss Gary Waddock, currently stands.
"As far as I know, nothing's been said, no-one has really spoken about anything.
"I have an injury at the moment so no club is going to want me, if I'm not fit I'm not going to be able to play for them so I'm just looking forward to getting back fit this week and hopefully will be up for selection, maybe on the bench against Northampton on Friday night."
"I have no idea [if the deal is dead at the moment], I don't know what's going on. We'll see what happens this week. I'm none the wiser."
