Gary Lloyd's ninth-minute penalty got Carmarthen on their way to a deserved victory at Farrar Road.
Mattie Davies added the second 15 minutes from time after Lloyd's fierce drive was fumbled by the home keeper.
Mike Burke hit back for Bangor in the 88th minute in a rare attempt at goal.
Newport County 1-0 Caersws
Nationwide Conference South side Newport County lifted some of the gloom off their dreadful season with a morale-boosting win.
Ian Hillier's 38th-minute strike was enough to give County only their fifth win this term.

Newtown recovered after conceding an early goal to beat Haverfordwest County at Latham Park.
Lee Hudgell put the visitors ahead after seven minutes, but Peter Smith and Alan Hooley hit back for Newtown.
