TNS booked their place in the FAW Premier Cup semi-finals with a comfortable win at Latham Park. The Welsh Premier leaders suffered an early scare when a Darren Ryan penalty put Newtown ahead on 16 minutes.
Nicky Ward and a Martin Giles own-goal in the space of three minutes gave TNS a half-time lead, and John Toner added a third shortly after the break.
Andrew Webb's goal gave Newtown hope but Phil Baker and Steve Beck put the result beyond doubt.
