Bangor City's prolific goalscorer Marc Lloyd-Williams has been named as the League of Wales player of the year.

Lloyd-Williams, who scored a remarkable 47 league goals this season, came out on top in a poll of all 18 League of Wales managers.

He totalled a total of 72 points out of a possible 90 after the managers were asked to select their top five players outside of their own squads.

Barry's Town Mike Flynn was his nearest challenger with 21 points.

Third place went to Barry's Jamie Moralee while Bangor pair Simon Davies and Kenny Burgess were fourth and fifth.

Lloyd-Williams goals tally currently puts him second in the prestigious ESM Golden Shoe table.

The 28-year-old from Llanberis is seven ahead on actual goals scored, but Sporting Lisbon's Mario Jardel tops the table courtesy of a bonus system for strikers playing in Europe's top divisions.

As well as the individual awards, the League of Wales team of the year was also announced this week.

Unsurprisingly, the team was dominated by players from Bangor City and champions Barry Town.

Barry's five are Lee Phillips, Andrew York, Gary Lloyd, Mike Flynn and Jamie Moralee.

Goalkeeper Phil Priestley, Huw Griffiths, Simon Davies and, of course, Lloyd-Williams are the Bangor contingent.

The 4-3-3 formation is completed by Cwmbran midfield Nathan Cotterrell and Caersws' 18-goal striker Graham Evans.

League of Wales Team of the Year:
Phil Priestley (Bangor City), Lee Phillips (Barry Town), Andrew York (Barry Town), Huw Griffiths (Bangor City), Simon Davies (Bangor City), Mike Flynn (Barry Town), Nathan Cotterrell (Cwmbran Town), Jamie Moralee (Barry Town), Marc Lloyd-Williams (Bangor City), Graham Evans (Caersws).
