Roma central defender Dellas is an integral part of the Greece defence. Operating as a sweeper in a three-man defence, Dellas has impressed coach Otto Rehhagel with a series of tough displays at the back.
He excelled in Greece's Euro 2004 qualifying bid as part of a defence that kept six clean sheets.
Dellas' nomadic career took him across Europe before he sealed an acrimonious move from Serie A's Perugia to Roma in 2002.
His career began slowly at Aris Thessaloniki and was followed by spells at Panserraikos, English side Sheffield United and AEK Athens, prior to his move to Italy in 2001.
Initially, he struggled to adapt to the discipline of the Italian game but has since matured into a accomplished defender.
Did you know? Dellas played in the 1998 Uefa European Under-21 Championship final.
