Matt Dinsmore back as Worcester bring in four on trial
Matt Dinsmore spent a short spell with rivals Redditch earlier this season
Worcester City have brought back striker Matt Dinsmore to St George's Lane - and boss Carl Heeley has also taken three more players on trial.
Goalkeeper Rob Duggan, ex-Peterborough full-back Lewis Bishop and former Coventry City winger Luke Bottomer all came on short-term deadline day deals.
"They have been told they are not going to get professional contracts," said City boss Carl Heeley.
"It gives us a chance to blood them and see what ability they have."
All four are understood to have been added to the squad for Saturday's trip to Blue Square Bet North play-off hopefuls Boston.
City have already tasted victory at York Street this season, having beaten Boston 3-2 in an FA Cup second qualifying round tie in September.
We have proved we can compete with and beat the best sides in the division
Worcester manager Carl Heeley
"We've been there already when we did extremely well," Heeley told BBC Hereford & Worcester, "so we'll look for a repeat of that if we can.
"We can go, hopefully express ourselves and hopefully get a positive result.
"It's a nice place to go - a former Football League ground with a decent surface and they generally get a good support."
Now Heeley's men return, lying comfortably in mid-table, 10 places and 24 points of third-placed Boston but, more crucially, 14 points clear of danger and almost certain to be playing in Blue Square Bet North again next season.
"We have the comfort of not being involved in either end of the table although I don't ever want to be involved in a relegation battle again," added Heeley.
"I wouldn't mind the pressure of being involved in the play-off positions but that maybe that is something for the future.
"Nothing holds any fears for us in the league because we have proved we can compete with and beat the best sides in the division. But doing it consistently is another matter altogether."
