Dryden's Worcester beat Dorchester for their first win of the season
Worcester City manager Richard Dryden has admitted that striker Matt Dinsmore proved him wrong by scoring twice in the 4-0 win against Dorchester Town.
Dinsmore's brace come after he was substituted just half an hour in to the recent 2-1 defeat at Weymouth.
"He has come back and proved me wrong and it looks like he has the hunger," Dryden told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"I don't like singling out young lads, but hopefully we have got into him and we know what a good player he is."
All four of City's goals came in the first half as they recorded their first Blue Square South win of the season.
"Two special goals put us in command and gave us the confidence to keep going, although the game ebbed out second half," said Dryden.
"If Matt can do that week in, week out then he can still have a career.
"It's almost a threat. Sometimes they need a kick up the backside to get them going."
The City boss was also critical of Dorchester's approach to the game, which saw former Arsenal midfielder Ian Selley sent off for two bookable offences.
"I thought there was some bad tackles coming in and we were lucky to only come off with two injures," added Dryden.
