Woking manager Garry Hill says a couple of obstacles must be overcome before he and his assistant Steve Thompson sign new contracts with the club.
The duo have guided the Cards into the Blue Square Bet South play-off zone.
Hill told BBC Surrey: "We've expressed our commitment. The club have been clear that they want us to stay.
"It's not a financial issue. It's purely a case of making making sure that we can do the right things to benefit this club going forward."
Hill continued: "I'm very happy at the club and Steve Thompson is. Yes, we want to stay.

"They've asked us about a two-year contract each. We've both said yes.
"There's one or two things I want to make sure are correct.
"We want to make sure there are no grey areas and we know where we are."
Woking have shot into promotion contention since Hill took charge in January, with the club currently on an 11-match unbeaten streak.
"In the time we've been here, I like to think we've made a good impression," Hill added.
"It's some run, in any level of football, to take 31 points out of 33."
