Fans can give Woking belief, says manager Garry Hill

Woking manager Garry Hill says the club's fans will have a role in their push for promotion.

The Cards have won their last five games to move five points off the play-off places in Blue Square Bet South.

Hill told BBC Surrey: "You can see the spirit around the ground. The supporters know we're on a roll and they're getting a lot of belief.

"They're the people you need. They're playing their part and we have to show we appreciate that."

He added: "It's their club and they need performances and desire. I think they're getting that at the moment.

"There's a long way to go but we are slowly and surely going in the right direction."

Hill, who has only lost one of his six league games since taking charge at the end of January, is currently contracted to the end of this season but says he may stay on at Kingfield.

"The reason I came to the club is it's a club with a lot of tradition which has been asleep," the former Dagenham & Redbridge boss continued.

"The ambition is (assistant) Steve Thompson's and I'll lead the club in the right direction between now and the end of the season.

"We'll see what comes out of it from there. I am enjoying it."
