Lowestoft 'reality check' needed, says Ady Gallagher
Gallagher's side are still among the Ryman Premier play-off places
Lowestoft Town joint-manager Ady Gallagher has asked fans to lower their expectations of the team.
The Trawler Boys are fifth in the Ryman Premier but have gone four league games without a victory.
"If you don't win a game or two then all of a sudden their optimism turns to gloom," he told BBC Radio Norfolk.
"That's disappointing, I think they should try and take a bit of a reality check on how the club's progressed and concentrate on supporting the team."
Town earned promotion as champions of the Ryman Division One North last season and have not looked out of place on the next step of the non-league ladder
But Tuesday's 2-1 loss at Tooting means Lowestoft have taken just three points from their last four league outings.
Our crowd has been uncharacteristically quiet the last few games and maybe need to get back into full voice

They sit 13 points adrift of Sutton United, who are top of the league, but have four games in hand on the leaders.
And, with a trip to the table-toppers looming on Saturday, Gallagher has called on supporters to back their side.
"If you'd asked our supporters at the start of the season what would you expect this season, most would have said consolidating in this division," he said.
"Because we've started so well naturally supporters start thinking and dreaming of winning the league.
"Their anxiety does transmit on to the pitch and doesn't really help the players.
"Our crowd has been uncharacteristically quiet the last few games and maybe need to get back into full voice and simply get behind the team and encourage them."
